On Friday, August 24, patrons enjoyed free admission to MASS MoCA from 10am to 7pm as part of the Highland Street Foundation’s Free Fun Fridays statewide cultural initiative. We made art at the ArtBar and explored the new Kidspace exhibition COME TO YOUR SENSES: ART TO SEE, SMELL, HEAR, TASTE, AND TOUCH, which featured Sally Taylor and 54 collaborative artists. Patrons took part in a museum-wide scavenger hunt, toured the galleries, and joined us for two art talks with Associate Curator Alexandra Foradas about Taryn Simon: A Cold Hole | Assembled Audience at 11am and 3pm.

Every summer, Massachusetts residents and tourists are invited to visit designated cultural attractions each Friday free of charge as part of the Highland Street Foundation’s Free Fun Friday. For more information, and to see a complete schedule of participating venues and dates, click here, or call 617.969.8900.

Free Fun Fridays was made possible by the generous support of the Highland Street Foundation.

The curator talks were funded in part by Mass Humanities, which receives support from the Mass Cultural Council and is an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
