MASS MoCA is a community of unique individuals who participate in making us who we are as an organization. Whether employed, volunteering, partnering, visiting, or creating and exhibiting art here – every person who walks through our doors contributes to the strength and integrity of our community. By purchasing a ticket to join MASS MoCA’s visitors, staff and artists on the museum campus, you agree to follow a Courtesy Code.

  • Masking is welcome but not required.
  • Large bags (over 8″ x 11″ x 4″), any bag with straps and umbrellas are not permitted in the galleries or performance venues. Please leave all at home or in your vehicle.
  • In order to keep our staff and patrons safe, we reserve the right to ask you to leave if you become ill during your visit.
  • No outside food or drink is permitted; please empty water bottles.
  • Photography and video in the galleries is allowed unless otherwise noted including all James Turrell and Louise Bourgeois installations, for personal, non-commercial purposes only. The use of flash, tripods, drones or camera extension poles/selfie sticks is prohibited. Additional restrictions apply for performances and concerts. All professional photographers must obtain a photo pass by emailing a request to the Communications department at press@massmoca.org.

 

Please note that visitors to the Museum may be photographed, videotaped, or otherwise recorded. By attending, you grant the Museum permission to use photographs and/or audiovisual recordings in which you appear for archival, documentary, publicity, advertising, or other purposes. If you do not wish to be included in the images we publish, please alert our staff at the box office upon arrival.
