IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT GROUP VISITS
Buses must park in the parking lot behind the Big Y grocery store’s rear lot, located on Holden Street. Click here for a map.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide subsidies for buses, but, if you are in Massachusetts, your school may be eligible for a grant from the local Cultural Council. Download a fact sheet about the Big Yellow SchoolBus Program or fill out an online application. (NOTE: This program is paused for the 2021-2022 school year).
The Brown Bag Café is available for groups who wish to bring their own lunches. Depending on the weather, seating at the Brown Bag Café is either inside, near the Kidspace gallery on the second floor, or outside, at our picnic tables.
Lickety Split (in MASS MoCA’s lobby) is pleased to provide healthy, affordable lunches, drinks, and desserts. Two business days’ advance notice is required for boxed lunches. There are also several other restaurants in North Adams that offer lunch options. If ordering, please call Lickety Split at (413) 346-4560 to place your lunch orders at least 2 business days in advance of your visit.
Help us make your visit go smoothly by downloading info sheet and sharing it with the chaperones who will be accompanying your group. Please note that chaperones are required to stay with their students (in a ratio of 1:10). Students 17 and older can view the galleries on their own.
Payment needs to be completed in one transaction in the form of cash, credit card, or check on the day of your visit. We do not require a deposit. We can send a post-visit invoice upon request.
Covid-19 Entry Requirements for Groups
MASS MoCA will coordinate with your tour group leader and share our policy that vaccination is required and that we will deny entry to anyone without proof of vaccination. We will accept vaccine certification from partner organizations such as public schools and universities. For example, if a partner organization requires proof of vaccination of all tour participants, MASS MoCA will accept written certification from the partner organization as proof of vaccination. If written certification is not available, each member of the tour group will be required to provide proof of vaccination.
