In the spring of 2021, Lyle arrived at MASS MoCA to workshop STEP SHOW, a new theatrical production that uses African American step, rap, spoken word, and song to tell the story of a college freshman as she navigates the world of step and academia. Developing a musical during a pandemic wasn’t easy, but with the support of MASS MoCA, the cast of STEP SHOW was able to keep singing (and stepping) their way through.
