MASS MoCA members are invited to join us for a rare conversation with three of the artists who installed the 2008 Sol LeWitt retrospective as they reflect on LeWitt’s legacy, their role in carrying it forward, and their experiences working on the artist’s drawings more than a decade after his death.

Returning to the museum between January 24 and March 12, Roland Lusk and Lacey Fekishazy will redraw—with the help of 8 local and regional artist assistants—Wall Drawing #1211, one of the largest and most significant colored pencil works on view. Joining Roland and Lacey in conversation will be John Hogan, a principal draftsperson for LeWitt since 1982 and the Mary Jo and Ted Shen Installation Director and Archivist for Sol LeWitt Wall Drawings at Yale University Art Gallery, along with Susan Cross, MASS MoCA Senior Curator.

Celebrate the conservation of this important drawing and mingle with the artists at a cocktail reception following the presentation.
