Read and discuss selections from exhibiting artist Cauleen Smith’s BLK FMNNST Loaner Library 1989–2019 — paintings of the covers of must-read texts. Discussions take place over three sessions this fall.

Whatever Happened to Interracial Love?, 2016

Written in the 1960s, these posthumously published stories by pioneering filmmaker Kathleen Collins explore race, gender, and sexuality, with what Roxane Gay describes as “a real edge” and the true work happening “beneath the skin of the story.”
