Repeat Grammy Award-winner and endlessly influential balladeer Justin Vernon, aka Bon Iver, visited MASS MoCA to perform a work-in-progress score alongside dance company TU Dance. The company’s co-founder and “incredible polyrhythmic genius” (Star Tribune) Uri Sands guided his troupe through movement that lilts and tumbles alongside Vernon’s expansive sound. The new work will officially premiere with Liquid Music on April 19 in Saint Paul, MN.
What to Expect
On Saturday, the MASS MoCA galleries will be open until 5pm.
General admission seating in our premier concert venue. Preferred tickets are general admission seats located in the first rows of the theater. A full bar serves Bright Idea Brewing beers and Berkshire Mountain Distillery spirits.
Planning on dinner before the show? Our museum café, Lickety Split, rolls out a special menu that includes grass-fed beef burgers, paninis, flatbreads, fresh field greens salads, and homemade quiche.
