This production from Beverly Glenn-Copeland has been cancelled. Ticket buyers will be notified by email. Please see below for a statement from the artist.
“Unfortunately, due to the alarming rise in Covid numbers, I have no choice but to announce the cancellation of my upcoming North American Tour dates.
Due to being immunocompromised and in my 80th year, doctors have advised that standard masking at shows would no longer be sufficient protection. In addition, the requirement to mask would now also extend to me as I perform!
To all of you who have bought tickets, I’m sorry I won’t be able to bring this show to life right now. Myself, Elizabeth and all the musicians involved have been working tirelessly in preparation for this tour and it is not a decision we’ve taken lightly, however health has to come first.
I will see you soon <3″
The music of Beverly Glenn-Copeland drinks deeply from the truths that in the tumult of this world, there are constants. People need each other. Every motion brushes against others, moving. None of us are siloed, and none of us are still. For decades, the Philadelphia-born, Canada-based singer, songwriter, and composer has drawn myriad musical practices toward a single, luminous conviction: that music can shake us loose from what closes us off from each other. His multifaceted body of work surrenders to the beauty, pain, and great capacity for healing that course through life; in its unguarded sincerity, it invites you to share in its courage. Glenn-Copeland’s new album, The Ones Ahead — his first collection of new music in nearly two decades — deepens these explorations, casting searching light into how all of us must dissolve the harms of this world and carry each other forward into the next.
Per artist request, masking will be required at this show.
