Beninoise world music icon Angelique Kidjo descends for an intimate acoustic performance that will change your life.
“The power of Kidjo’s unflappable voice, the range of her emotional expression, the stellar, genre-bending musicians who back her, and the infectious, activist energy that courses through her songs all transcend any native tongue.”
– NPR Music
“Angelique Kidjo is a force of nature—she is a rare mix of fiercely riveting, sexy, global, and inspiring.”
– Rachel Chanoff, Curator of Performing Arts + Film, MASS MoCA
Treat yourself to Valentine’s Day dinner before the show when Lickety Split serves up a menu of house-made soups and quiche, fresh salads, juicy burgers with house-cut fries, flatbreads, and paninis. Top it off with chocolate desserts for your Valentine: chocolate mousse, chocolate chip cookies, raspberry linzer cookies, chocolate mousse cake, brownies, and hot fudge sundaes. Serving from 6–8pm.
What to expect
We’ll be in our premier venue, the Hunter Center, with seats on a riser. Preferred tickets are general admission seats located in the first rows of the theater. Full bar is available.
