Dreamy Canadian indie pop band Alvvays brings “emotional and melodic sophistication” (The New York Times) to the Hunter Center on September 2, with singer-songwriter Tanukichan. Since their self-titled debut album in 2014, Alvvays has wrestled with the woes of the now, looking back at a country past and forward at an uncertain world, reckoning with what we lose whenever we make a choice about what we want to become.
