Archive, Work-in-Progress: Live Music
- Saturday, January 12, 2019, 8pm
- $14 ADVANCE
$22 DAY OF - Hunter Center
This ecstatic, immersive musical performance occupies the space between concert and traditional religious or ceremonial rites. Developed by electro-acoustic collective Infinite Palette, Aeon Ritual features new work by musician-composers Hanna Benn, William Brittelle, Ian Chang, Topu Lyo, Seth Olinsky, Darian Thomas, Emily Wells and Daniel Wohl; art director Andrea Hyde; and curator-producer Kate Nordstrum. The work-in-progress performance is presented in a specially-conceived setting to highlight the spiritual.
What to Expect
This event is general admission seating and will be in our largest theater, the Hunter Center for Performing Arts. We love presenting new art like this, that feels like ink still wet on the page. Come ready to witness creativity in process. If you’re planning on dinner before the show, check out restaurants in downtown North Adams or find a nosh right here on campus: Lickety Split Cafe, Gramercy Bistro, Bright Ideas Brewing, and A-oK Berkshire Barbeque are all within minutes of the venue.
This program is supported by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
