Writing + Architecture

The Mastheads’ five writing studios, designed by architects Tessa Kelly and Chris Parkinson, spatially interpret the Berkshire work and homes of American Renaissance writers Herman Melville, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Henry David Thoreau, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr. The studios are available for three-hour appointments at 11am or 2pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and open to the public on weekends.
