In the band’s only North American appearance this year, The Pretenders play MASS MoCA on July 26, with proceeds from this benefit concert supporting the Hans and Kate Morris Fund for New Music, which underwrites new work by emerging and established musicians at MASS MoCA. Brooklyn-based C. Gibbs opens the evening with guests from Bang on a Can.
The Pretenders concert is General Admission, Standing Room Only. The concert venue is outside and will take place Rain or Shine.
Join bandleader Chrissie Hynde on Saturday, July 27, at 2pm for a discussion and Q+A with MASS MoCA museum director Joseph Thompson about her recent book and exhibition of original paintings, now on view at the museum. Tickets for an Artist Talk with Chrissie Hynde are available here.
Preferred concert tickets include access to a preferred viewing area, a post-concert reception with the band, and admission to the Chrissie Hynde’s Artist Talk on Saturday, July 27. What to Expect
All tickets are General Admission, standing room only. The concert will take place outside in MASS MoCA’s largest concert courtyard. Preferred ticket holders have access to a gated standing room section close to the stage. This concert will be held rain or shine.
