Danielle Ponder’s mesmerizing eight-song debut Some of Us Are Brave, three years in the making, was a leap of faith: she left her job in the public defender’s office in her hometown of Rochester, NY to bring it to life—and the world is glad she did. Her sound is a refreshingly original, shiver-inducing mix of pop, R&B, blues, rock, and moody trip-hop topped by Ponder’s celestial voice—an instrument that can plumb melancholy depths and scrape the sky with hurricane-force wails.

• This performance is standing room only and will take place outside in MASS MoCA’s Courtyard C or in the Hunter Center in the case of inclement weather. All sales are final; no refunds or exchanges. Masks are optional during indoor performances but may be required in the event of a change in Berkshire County risk levels.
• Preferred ticket holders have access to a gated standing room section close to the stage and receive museum admission on the day of or day after the show.
• No outside food or beverages will be allowed in the venue during the event. Food and drinks are available for purchase during the show.
