Spend an afternoon next summer sailing with Wilco bassist John Stirratt and his wife, Crissy, in Muscongus Bay on the mid-Maine coast. Muscongus Bay (derived from the Indian word for “fishing place”) is a haven for sailors, sea kayakers, and lobster lovers. The boat is a 28’ Herreshoff Rozinante, designed by L. Francis Herreshoff and widely regarded as one of the best small cruising boats of all time, a great performer in a wide range of wind strengths, and much admired as an exceptionally sweet-sailing boat.
