Join us in Like Magic for a series of screenings of short videos by artists and filmmakers addressing technologies of magic — including devices, charms, rituals, and spells. This session’s program features films centered on rituals for living (despite the odds) and dying by Noor Abed, Moza Almatrooshi, Adrian Garcia Gomez, Cannupa Hanska Luger, and more.

This session, with films selected by Like Magic curator Alexandra Foradas, begins with an introduction at 2pm.Stick around afterward for Tourmaline’s Atlantic is a Sea of Bones (illustrated above, and looping in the screening room most days), which addresses ideas like mourning, remembering, surviving, and thriving that loosely inspired this session’s theme.
