Join us for a conversation with some of the artists creating new work for Like Magic — Simone Bailey, Grace Clark, Petra Szilagyi and Nate Young — and exhibition curator Alexandra Foradas, moderated by MASS MoCA Director Kristy Edmunds. MASS MoCA has always had a bit of wildness and magic about it: space for mess, for sprawl, for experimentation and questioning rather than certainty, for an embrace of the poetry in the cracks. Like Magic brings together a group of contemporary artists who speculatively employ technologies of magic — from witches’ brooms and divination to healing rituals and prayers for the internet — as tools to question, to dismantle, to study, to believe.
