The sleek, superb performers of Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal deliver a thrilling fusion of dance styles and expert technique in dances by prominent international choreographers. Night Box, by Canada's provocative Wen Wei Wang, combines ballet with street dance to express love, loss, sensuality, and the joy of urban life. Spanish choreographer Cayetano Soto's innovative and energetic duet Zero In On commands attention, with lush, powerful movement and a sweeping score by composer Philip Glass. Harry, by acclaimed dancemaker Barak Marshall, completes the program with a dramatic extravaganza of dance and personality, plus equally inventive music ranging from Israeli folk songs to Balkan Beat Box to The Andrews Sisters.
