LeeSaar The Company: grass and jackals

Friday, February 8, 2013, 8:00 pm
Hunter Center
CANCELLED due to storm.

Emerging from four years of research exploring how to translate the extreme conditions of military life to the stage, grass and jackals - a new dance piece and light spectacle featuring choreography by Lee Sher and Saar Harari and lighting by Avi Yona Bueno (Bambi) - constantly pushes the physical and emotional boundaries of both performers and viewers. The piece moves from one climax to the next, featuring music that creates an atmosphere of an unknown terrain. The climaxes are alternately silent, violent, intimate, wild, lonely, and exposed, and showcase the dancers' extraordinary performance abilities.
