This Western Massachusetts-based string-rock quintet formed in 2009 and has quickly taken hold in New England's musical imagination. Playing over 100 shows during its first year of touring, the band has created a seamless, exhilarating sound at the intersection of rock, classical, and folk music. Darlingside's self-produced six-song EP has earned high praise for its craftsmanship and originality, and last year's brilliant subscription album, Pilot Machines, was a stylistic leap forward.
