We partner with Williams College’s
Contemporary Dance Ensemble (CoDa)
to present an evening of dance and music
inspired by Sol LeWitt’s wall drawings on
Sadly, Karl Larson, the musician scheduled for the live music portion of tonight's event (a concert of Bang on a Can alum Tristan Perich's compositions), is unable to leave Red Hook, NY, due to Hurricane Sandy's damage. Our thoughts are with all those who are beginning the long clean-up process.
This event is presented in conjunction the exhibition Sol LeWitt: The Well-Tempered Grid on view at the Williams College Museum of Art September 15–December 9, 2012. This the first exhibition to focus on the centrality of the grid in LeWitt’s art. The exhibition focuses on LeWitt’s use of the grid as a generative matrix for his artistic production over the span of nearly five decades, from 1960 until his death in 2007.
